The VHL Championship Trophy gets a new name!

In memory of U.S. Army 1st. Lt. Derek Hines, his family have honored us with their blessing, allowing us to renamed the VHL Championship Trophy to the Derek Hines Championship Award.
About Derek: A West Point graduate and one heck of a hockey player, playing 110 games for ARMY from 1999 to 2003.

While conducting security operations in Baylough, Afghanistan, on September 1st 2005 his unit came under small-arms fire. Wounded by insurgents, Derek continued to fight but was killed in action.
