Veterans Hockey League opens its first season

And just like that, the Veterans Hockey League (VHL) kicked off the inaugural season this past Friday night at the Canlan Ice Sports Arena in Romeoville, IL. 

The four teams participating in the 2019 summer season are; The Chicago Blackhawks Warriors, The Windy City Benders, Level Zero Heroes and JD Strength Performance.

Originally the idea was to establish an all Military Veterans Hockey League, but due to the lack of teams in the Chicagoland area we open the league to civilian participants to compete. The mission would remain the same, which is to raised PTSD awareness and funds for our Chicago area military veterans.

We also have teamed up with some excellent sponsors and they are Supreme Whiskey Stones, Arsenal Hockey, Beer League Sports, TASK Insurance, Leading Edge Awards, The Bulldog Ale House and Big Construction. Without the help of these sponsors we would not have been able to not only move forward with our mission, but to also provide the best experience possible to the teams participating this summer season.
